Architectural Rendering Technique: The Art Of The Loose Sketch
Even in this digital design age, there is a place for the loose architectural rendering. It is fast where other architectural rendering techniques are slow. It is non-commital, where digital rendering has to be precise in order to look good. It's also not a bad metaphor for life. What do I mean by that?
I mean, how many times in life is 75% or even 85% of the idea... the most important thing, whereas the remaining 15% or 25% is just an inefficient use of time? Done well, and with the correct timing, the loose sketch can be the perfect combination of "this is what we're thinking, and this is the care with which we develop our ideas before we render them digitally, but really...what do you think?
